Subject: Provides instruction to permit use of an updated P/N 10C67-1 Solenoid Valve Assembly in 65C30 Series Sealed Control Units by removing the existing clamp and installing a new clamp assembly which fits the new Solenoid Valve Assembly. P/N 10C67 is no longer available but existing new or serviceable units may continue to be used with the original clamp arrangement. This SIL does not require change of a properly operating Solenoid Valve Assembly.

Subject: A non-conforming bearing wave retainer clip was used in the production of
alternator Drive End Housing (DE) assemblies on the affected alternators.
The bearing wave retainer clip may allow the DE bearing outer race to rotate
in the housing. It is possible that wear due to a rotating bearing race may
lead to alternator malfunction which may result in engine damage.

Subject: This Service Bulletin requires that use of X-Drive starters on Partenavia
and Vulcanair P68 series aircraft should be discontinued. Hartzell Engine
Technologies advises that the above applications using the SRB-9021 X-Drive
starter may experience airframe interference including contact with the
engine oil cooler not evident at initial starter installation but occurring
after start or upon application of engine torque.

Subject: Hartzell Engine Technologies is initiating a recall of the following
Starters due to potential failure of the drive gear assembly. Customers
owning starters affected by this Service Bulletin may also experience actuation
difficulties with the starter's bendix drive assembly. This could include
failure of the bendix to properly retract after engine start or failure
of the bendix to properly extend at the beginning of the starting cycle.
Either condition may result in damage to the starter or the engine fly
wheel. The bendix assembly cannot be field repaired. The starter bendix
should be replaced with a factory reconditioned or factory new unit.
MODELS AFFECTED: MHB-6014, -6014R, -6016, -6016R, -6018, -6018R; MMU-6001;
MZ-6204, -6220, -6220R, -6222, -6222R, -6224, -6226 Starters. Only those
assemblies itemized in this Bulletin are subject to this recall.

Since implementation of the current one piece brush holder assembly for
the above series alternators, maintenance personnel have complained of
difficulty in installing or removing the assembly. Kelly Aerospace has
designed a new two piece brush holder which is superior in construction
and designed to ease both installation and removal during routine maintenance.
These new brush holders are offered as a product improvement and are considered
an alternate but will supercede the current brush holder assembly as field
stock is depleted.

All Navajo Chieftain Aircraft with the New Kelly Aerospace 200F-5002 (62E23186),
200F-5003 (62E23188) and 200F-5004 (62E23187) Fuel Pump(s) installed. NOTE:
This bulletin is applicable only to Chieftain* (PA-31-350) Aircraft with
pumps bearing the S/Ns found in Table 1 below. Pumps installed on aircraft
other than the PA-31-350 are not subject to this bulletin regardless of
S/N inclusion in Table 1 below.

Subject: Hartzell Engine Technologies has discovered that an oil passage in the turbocharger center housing may have been incorrectly located. This oil passage feeds oil to the journal bearings. This condition may also be present in the turbocharger center housings sold to the field as piece parts with a date code of H-0112. This condition may restrict oil flow and damage or destroy the bearings quickly which may result in seizure of the turbocharger with subsequent engine power reduction or engine oil starvation.

done to avoid confusion of applicable turbocharger part numbers. This is
a mandatory service bulletin. The bulletin regards rebuilt turbochargers

Table 1 even though the Reference data for this part number on page 6 is
correct. It is anticipated that this will become the subject of an FAA/AD.
